Let’s go fly a kite!
This year Pom-Bear is learning how to fly a kite. Why not go outside and enjoy a fun day out with your family!
Pom-Bear’s kite flying safety advice
To make sure that you and your family are safe while kite flying, make sure you follow Pom-Bear’s kite flying safety tips:
- Never fly your kite near traffic
- Always fly away from other people and remember to be considerate of others
- Never chase a kite which you have lost control of
- A medium wind level is best (5-25mph). Too low or high a wind make kite flying difficult. Never fly a kite in heavy rain or stormy weather
- Never fly a kite near telephone or power lines. Make sure you and your children leave plenty of space and watch out for kite-eating trees! Open fields, parks and beaches are ideal.
